Over the years, Frommer's has covered a menagerie of animal-accompanied wellness experiences (usually yoga), involving goats, golden retrievers, reindeer, and chickens, to name a few.
Here's another offering for travelers whose bucket lists look like the cargo manifest for Noah's Ark: tea with misbehaving sheep.
Southern Scotland's Cameron House, a luxury resort in a grand, 200-year-old estate on the banks of Loch Lomond, is launching what it's calling a "ewe-nique Woolly Wellness package" centered on an "afternoon of sheep therapy," courtesy of local ruminant-based wellness company Naughty Sheep.
The package, which includes an overnight stay at Cameron House, starts with a chauffeured ride into the mountains for a guided yoga flow session set against the backdrop of the rolling Highlands and the watery expanse of Loch Lomond.
Then comes the main event: a full afternoon tea that will be set up in a meadow and, per a Cameron House press release, "hosted by Herdwick sheep with questionable table manners."
In between petting, nuzzling, and photographing your woolly tablemates, you'll be treated to sweet and savory bites made with local ingredients.

After tea, a guide will lead a 60-minute sound healing meditation with a gong and crystal bowls and such, before sending guests back to the hotel for a three-course dinner at the Cameron Grill. The restaurant specializes in local, seasonal Scottish fare, such as Orkney scallops and West Coast lobster.
Eventually you'll retire to one of the property's 208 elegant guest rooms.
Prices for Cameron House's Woolly Wellness Retreat start at £397 (US $498) per person, which includes an overnight stay, the afternoon Naughty Sheep experience, transportation to and from that spot, and dinner and breakfast at the Cameron Grill. You'll also have access to the resort’s Leisure Club, which has a swimming pool, sauna, gym, and other amenities.
Considering all that you get, the price isn't too baaa-d.
Availability is limited, however, with only a few retreats currently on the calendar this summer, starting July 28—though a press rep tells us Cameron House hopes to schedule more soon. (Attendance at each retreat is capped at six guests.)
A cheaper alternative with more availability would be to book a tea directly with Naughty Sheep. Although you wouldn't get the resort stay, you'd still get the views, the cakes, and the sheepish shenanigans for the price of £65 ($82) per person.
Note that Naughty Sheep's events are not for kids, whether of the human or goat variety.
